It’s no secret that the fashion industry profits from people’s low self-esteem. It’s easy to sell a piece of clothing to someone who doesn’t feel valuable without it. Social media only makes the problem worse.
And while some people are quite literally dying for likes, brands and influencers continue to tell us we have to buy their products in order to like ourselves.
The largest online fashion retailer in Bulgaria also made an ad with influencers. Only this ad had a very different message – that you should like yourself just the way you are.
